SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/26/13 -- Exablox®, the company reimagining storage, announces the appointment of industry veteran Shridar Subramanian as vice president of marketing. Subramanian is a 20-year veteran in senior level marketing and engineering positions at high-growth storage companies. His appointment strengthens the Exablox executive leadership as the company scales to support new growth with its recent OneBlox product release.

Subramanian joins a veteran storage team that includes Ramesh Balan, who serves as vice president of engineering, joining Exablox from EMC via the Data Domain acquisition. Prior, Balan served as senior director of the Veritas storage team through to its acquisition by Symantec. The Exablox team has a successful track record of building innovative storage solutions from companies such as Data Domain, Veritas, NetApp, Omneon, GreenPlum, and Ocarina.

Subramanian most recently served as vice president of product marketing and management at Virident Systems. Prior, Subramanian was co-founder and CEO of Info-insight, a developer of auto-tiering software for the enterprise storage market. He has also held senior positions at Monosphere, Inc. and NetApp, and additional experience at Intergraph Corporate and Booz Allen & Hamilton. Subramanian holds a master's in Computer Science from Penn State University and a master's in Business Administration from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
