SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/05/14 -- Piston Cloud Computing, Inc., the enterprise OpenStack™ company, today announced it has appointed Steve Bagby as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Bagby brings more than 25 years of experience leading the development of IT Infrastructure products for both startups and large companies. In his role as COO, he will be responsible for leading Piston's engineering, quality assurance and product management teams.

Before joining Piston, Bagby was co-founder, CTO and Vice President of Engineering for SimpliVity, a pioneer and leader in hyper-converged infrastructure platforms for the software-defined datacenter. Prior to SimpliVity, he led product development efforts for several startups in storage virtualization and data deduplication, including Sepaton, Diligent Technologies, Falconstor, and Neartek. Bagby started his career in server hardware design, compilers and operating systems.
