LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwired) -- 11/04/14 -- - APPSPHERE 2014 -- AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for software-defined businesses, today announced the AppDynamics OEM Partner Program, an application-specific license that allows independent software vendors (ISVs) to bundle the AppDynamics Application Intelligence Platform with their solutions.

With this new program, ISVs that distribute a packaged, performance-critical application to run in their customers' data centers now have access to:

  • Custom licensing to allow distribution of AppDynamics application performance monitoring capabilities with their product in a streamlined licensing model, avoiding customer objections to licensing complexity
  • SaaS or on-premise deployment to meet customer preference and match the OEM partners' distribution model
  • Support enablement from AppDynamics and the OEM provider to facilitate a seamless hand-off and ensure a superb customer experience

"Successful businesses demand high-performing systems. Thanks to our strategic partnership with AppDynamics, Openbravo clients will benefit from a powerful monitoring solution that will help them to get maximum value from the Openbravo solution," said Ismael Ciorda, chief technology officer at Openbravo. "This is especially relevant for larger customers using the Openbravo Enterprise Edition, with more demanding system performance requirements due to a higher concurrence. In these cases performance must be guaranteed, and this is what they get with this strategic partnership."

MJ DiBerardino, chief technology officers at Cloundexa, said, "Cloudnexa chose to bundle AppDynamics with the premium offering of our vNOC product for application performance monitoring for a variety of reasons, including unparalleled application visibility, root cause analysis, and ease of use. We see the partnership with AppDynamics as a high-value and differentiating service that we can seamlessly offer to our customers."

With application-specific licensing flexibility, overall ease of installation, and extraordinary customer support, it does not require a major engineering effort to integrate the AppDynamics platform with discrete on-premise applications; nor does it require major training investment by end-user customers.

"We are thrilled to open up the power of our Application Intelligence Platform to a growing and impressive list of partners," said Matthew Polly, senior director of business development at AppDynamics. "Our new program meets a need in the market for ISVs to deliver high-performing applications to businesses that depend on them to compete and win in their chosen markets. We are excited about the program and are confident it will provide a source of competitive differentiation for our ISV partners as they serve their customers and take solutions to market."

AppDynamics' APM technology is in use by more than 1,400 enterprise customers. The company has been positioned as a leader for the third straight year in the Gartner Magic Quadrant just announced last week, and was positioned furthest to the right on the "Vision" axis. Each vendor tested for this report was ranked on cloud-readiness, breadth of language support, application topology mapping, transaction tracing, mobile and end-user experience monitoring, ease of deployment, and operations. The company has also been recognized by its customers with a Net Promoter/NPS score of 84.
