PORTLAND, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 07/17/12 -- Tripwire, Inc., a leading global provider of IT security solutions, today announced it has joined the HP ArcSight Technology Alliances Program and has achieved HP ArcSight Common Event Format (CEF) certification for Tripwire Enterprise. Customers can now leverage Tripwire Enterprise's richly detailed change and configuration data with HP ArcSight Enterprise Service Management (ESM) log and event management information to provide the HP ArcSight Security Intelligence and Risk Management (SIRM) platform with "system state intelligence" that better mitigates security risks and helps distinguish real threats from false positives.
Security Intelligence and Event Management (SIEM) solutions typically detect anomalies in the network but do not provide context regarding strong or weak system states. Security professionals can spend hours sifting through reams of insignificant events in the hopes of finding truly malicious activity. Using HP ArcSight ESM with Tripwire Enterprise data, users are able to dramatically improve the correlation processes by supplying the critical context needed to identify malicious activity: Tripwire Enterprise's configuration state and file change information. As part of the HP ArcSight Technology Alliances partner program, Tripwire Enterprise can provide this critical security intelligence to HP ArcSight ESM that can be rapidly implemented and delivers immediate dividends in the form of clarity and efficiency.
