In a newly signed agreement the Senate Department of Finance and UNIT4 Business Software GmbH are extending their longstanding partnership, which sees approximately 9,000 employees of the Senate and District Administrations, the Audit Division, the State Parliament and other authorities in the State of Berlin work with UNIT4 software every day.

In the nineties the State of Berlin implemented UNIT4's ProFiskal solution as part of its state-wide Administration Management project. Since then employees at both state and district level have been using it to manage an annual budget in the double-digit billion Euro range. A comprehensive reporting system with several hundreds of evaluations for budget planning, management and cost accounting are part of the solution. The financial management system also includes components for a state cash office, dunning and enforcement, assets accounting, a product catalogue, personnel cost recording and the budget and balance sheet.
