Amika Mobile's award winning Amika Mobility Server (AMS) for critical and emergency alerting now deployed with Red Oxygen's short message service (SMS) text messages at the annual Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This annual tournament, the world's largest youth sporting event, is for baseball players from all over the world and the final will be decided at the championship game on Sunday, August 26.
"We are very excited to work with the Little League International organization and our deployment of the AMS in conjunction with Red Oxygen's SMS service will ensure that the leaders of the tournament are alerted and can reply as critical or emergency situations occur on their phones or at security workstations," stated Amika Mobile Co-Founder/CEO Sue Abu-Hakima.
"Red Oxygen is happy to sponsor the Little League Baseball World Series by providing SMS alerts integrated with AMS to keep everyone safe in case there are urgent or critical - tournament, player, or weather alerts. Events like these take advantage of SMS alert systems to contact selected groups of people quickly," said Tom Sheahan, owner and CEO at Red Oxygen.
"Little League Baseball World Series has strict requirements to ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of our players, volunteers, and fans from all over the world. We are happy to have innovative security and safety technology like the AMS notification system that works in conjunction with our other electronic security systems," said Jim Ferguson, Director of Security for Little League International.
According to Gartner's January 2012 Market Scope report, emergency mass notification is now a best business practice - closing 2011 at $650 Million in the US alone. Gartner also points out the growing importance of personalized critical and emergency notification at any organization.
