FRAMINGHAM, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/13/12 -- Top executives from Intuit, Wells Fargo and DISH Network are among the business leaders who will be sharing their insights on today's most talked-about IT challenges as SNW returns to Silicon Valley on October 16-19. SNW Fall's focus is providing attendees with an "Intelligent Architecture for the Data Driven Business," which will be addressed through key note sessions, panels and through discussions on the expo floor.
SNW Fall 2012 will be held in the heart of tech industry -- at the Hyatt Regency Silicon Valley and Santa Clara Convention Center, the site of the largest SNW gathering in recent years.
Organizers expect this fall's SNW to attract even more IT management and top vendors, and in preparation, have assembled top CIOs and CTOs who represent a broad cross-section of industries to headline the four-day conference.
The SNW Fall 2012 keynoters who will spotlight some of today's most discussed IT challenges include:
SNW Fall 2012 will also feature expanded program tracks, adding a new conference focus -- "consumerization and IT infrastructure" -- to topics of increasing importance to the IT management community, such as big data and solid state storage.
Big data will be a focus throughout SNW Fall 2012 -- in presentations and panels, and as the subject of a "lightening round" where big data providers will give five minute theater-style presentations. In addition, IDG Enterprise's chief content officer John Gallant will join with NetApp to present details on Computerworld research on how IT is converting big data into business value, a preview of the research can be viewed in this recent webcast.
"SNW has earned a reputation as an unmatched forum where IT management comes together to define the future of storage, data and infrastructure solutions, and that will clearly be the case this fall as the conference presenters and attendees take on today's most critical and urgent IT issues," said Wayne M. Adams, chairman, SNIA board of directors. "This fall's SNW will add new perspective to the IT developments driving business success today -- from the increased adoption of solid state storage and the continuing impact of big data to the rise of consumerization in IT."
"Two years ago when SNW broke new ground with its first conference in Silicon Valley, the response from the IT community, technology companies and industry influencers was unprecedented," said John Amato, vice president and publisher, Computerworld. "This fall, we expect to see an even greater impact, as we draw on an even more vibrant hotbed of technology innovation to join with the broader SNW community of leaders in IT management in timely discussions around the technology forces driving change in business today."
Attendees will again have an opportunity to experience the latest storage and data management technologies in SNW's Hands-on-Lab, and they can also speak with solution experts and see technology demonstrations in the conference Expo Hall. Among the technology leaders sponsoring SNW Fall 2012 are Egnyte, Fusion-io, QLogic, the Fiber Channel Industry Association, Imation, Riverbed, SafeNet, Samsung and Virtual Instruments.
