SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/19/12 -- Piston Cloud Computing, Inc., the enterprise OpenStack® company, in conjunction with today's launch of the independent OpenStack Foundation, announced that they will participate in the foundation as a Gold Member. The company's co-founder and CEO Joshua McKenty will serve as a member of the board of directors, chair of the asset committee and member of finance and compensation committees. The Piston Cloud team, along with fellow foundation members, will contribute both financial and technical resources to OpenStack and continue to drive adoption and development forward.

The goal of the OpenStack Foundation is to serve developers, users and the entire ecosystem by providing a set of shared resources to grow the footprint of public and private OpenStack clouds, enable technology vendors targeting the platform and assist developers in producing the best cloud software in the industry.
