WARREN, NJ and BANGALORE, INDIA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/24/12 -- MindTree Limited (NSE: MINDTREE), a global IT and product engineering services company, today announced that its new U.S. Development Center (USDC) in Gainesville, Florida is open for business and is hiring. All functions at the USDC are being overseen by its new general manager, Joelle Smith. Joelle has been selected to lead MindTree's expansion of its U.S. presence and cultivate new IT and engineering talent in the region.

MindTree's U.S. Development Center is expected to bring some 400 new jobs to the Gainesville area. MindTree is hiring from the University of Florida and other universities across the country.

MindTree's new U.S. Development Center is its first outside of India and is part of the company's strategy to broaden its IT and software consulting offerings to its clients in the states. MindTree is renovating and repurposing an existing structure located across from Gainesville's Innovation Hub and Innovation Square, providing it with close access to the University of Florida's College of Computer Science and Engineering.
