OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (Marketwire) -- 10/04/12 -- LockPath, a provider of innovative governance, risk and compliance (GRC) applications, today announced that the latest Unified Compliance Framework (UCF) content is now fully integrated in Keylight 2.4.3, including comprehensive controls for Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements no. 16 (SSAE 16), the Statement on Auditing Standards no. 70 (SAS 70) successor. LockPath's end-to-end integration of UCF content reduces the total number of controls companies need to implement for an effective GRC program.
SSAE 16, the new "attest" standard for reporting on controls for periods ending on or after June 15, 2011 by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), brings stricter requirements for service organizations by aligning more closely with its international counterpart, ISAE 3402 by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). Under SSAE 16, organizations must now provide a description of its system and a written statement of assertion for all service organizations.
Using Keylight, organizations can quickly be ready to attest to due diligence requirements for third-party vendors. In fact, Keylight strengthens organizations' attestation and due diligence statements, offering continuity from documents to controls and to actual practices in the field tracked by data and reports aggregated in the platform. Organizations can now build a more robust case by aggregating multiple data points into Keylight and tying them directly to SSAE 16 requirements.
"LockPath is committed to delivering the most streamlined and comprehensive GRC platform possible to help companies of all sizes keep pace with today's evolving regulatory landscape," said Chris Goodwin, co-founder and CTO of LockPath. "The latest content addition to Keylight empowers organizations and service providers concerned with meeting stricter audit requirements to quickly and proactively make attestation and accreditation statements to third parties."
