This year, feedback from nearly 3,000 users separated the 27 rated BI products into "peer groups" -- groups of products that have similar audiences or functions -- for easier comparison of products that are likely to compete. arcplan was placed in the Large Enterprise Reporting, Dashboard, and Large Enterprise Project peer groups along with vendors IBM (NYSE: IBM), Information Builders, MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), Oracle, and SAP (NYSE: SAP). Among these vendors, arcplan came out on top in many categories and also reclaimed its ranking as the leading BI frontend to SAP BW for the 8th year in a row, and Oracle Essbase and IBM Cognos TM1 for the 3rd year in a row. Among the Enterprise Reporting and Large Enterprise Project vendors, arcplan took the top spot for a set of prestigious categories. arcplan's #1 ranks include:

• Innovation -- This reflects four new technologies -- cloud BI, collaboration, mobile BI and visual analysis. According to BARC, arcplan has shown a new strength and focus in past years on developing new products in these areas that customers have started to deploy.
