The new OS delivers a more targeted, connected, feature-rich, business-ready, and secure Windows computing experience than ever before and is built with the cloud in mind.
AMAX's embedded appliances, with x86 and x64 support and Windows 8 for Embedded Systems, will enable differentiated devices with the full power and familiarity of Windows 8 and extend business intelligence across the entire computing ecosystem. AMAX engineers embedded appliances that achieve extended life cycles, compact space-saving designs, are fan-less, and offer low-power consumption. AMAX embedded appliances with Windows 8 for Embedded Systems have been optimized for POS, kiosk, industrial embedded systems, as well as transaction terminals and will be available in Q1 2013.
AMAX's ServMax server and workstation platforms also benefit from Windows 8's cloud connected vision. Windows 8 enables multiple servers, workstations, desktop PCs and mobile devices to access a unified SkyDrive to smoothly retrieve documents and files.
