With the new editor, WeVideo now includes instant access to photos and video clips users have already uploaded to Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr or Google Drive, as well as over a dozen professionally designed Themes.

The new simple video editor was created after the collaborative cloud-based video editing company surveyed over 100,000 of its users, discovering 79% of them reported that they had little (38%) to no (41%) prior video editing experience.

WeVideo users can also set the look of their videos by applying one of fourteen Themes from Punk Rock to Vintage, to White Wedding and even Noir. Theme elements include transitions, fonts, graphics and color correction.

WeVideo even encourages first-time users to grow as video editors; starting in the simplest "Storyboard" mode, then moving to "Timeline" mode (which offers more options and control) and eventually graduating to the WeVideo Full Feature editor which has all the bells and whistles of an advanced video editing platform. The simple new WeVideo editor is available starting today on YouTube and in the Chrome Web Store. WeVideo can be run from any browser on Chromebooks, netbooks, laptops and desktops.
