LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/06/12 -- SOA Software, a leading provider of Enterprise API Management and SOA Governance solutions, today announced that Roberto Medrano, Executive Vice President, SOA Software, was named to the HITEC 100 by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC), an award that recognizes the 100 top Hispanic professionals in Information Technology. Candidates were rigorously evaluated on the basis of their achievements, responsibilities, positions and contribution to the IT industry.

Mr. Medrano has helped SOA Software achieve category leader in SOA Governance and API Management. Previously Mr. Medrano was CEO of PoliVec, a security policy vendor. He was General Manager of software divisions for HP. Mr. Medrano has held executive positions at Finjan, Avnet Inc, and Sun Microsystems. Mr. Medrano participated in President Clinton's White House Security Summit and was an active member on National Cyber Security Summits, and the White House National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace. In addition to Mr. Medrano's extensive experience as a business executive, he holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (MIT), a Master in Business Administration (UCLA), and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (University of Southern California).
