NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 12/13/12 -- ScrollMotion, creators of the most effective and engaging enterprise software for tablets, today announced the appointment of Dean Furbush as the company's new CEO. Furbush holds a long track record in business, technology and helping innovative organizations scale through transformational growth stages. After two successful leadership roles first as the CEO of e-commerce pioneer, FreshDirect, and prior to that Chief Economist and EVP of Nasdaq Transaction Services where he was responsible for its stock-trading business, Furbush spent the last five years as President of College Summit, a non-profit focused on increasing college enrollment in low-income communities.

Furbush replaces co-founder John Lema who had served as the company's CEO since ScrollMotion's inception in April 2008. During that period, Lema and co-founder Josh Koppel have grown the company to 120 employees and gained several Fortune 500 businesses as customers. Lema will continue to serve on ScrollMotion's Board of Directors and as an advisor.

As part of its growth planning, ScrollMotion has also realigned itself to increase focus on its delivery of enterprise software for tablets, and to work with partners who will deliver some of ScrollMotion's former internal services. This reorganization entailed a 20% reduction in workforce, a move intended to support the long-term growth of the company.
