LONDON -- (Marketwire) -- 01/31/13 -- SendGrid, the leader in email deliverability, announced today that it now delivers more than seven billion emails each month, equating to one percent of global (non-spam) email.* The company also revealed that more than 80 billion emails have been sent via its platform to date.

The majority of these are transactional emails, a vital email segment which is critical to the success of online and mobile applications, as they look to retain and grow their customer bases. SendGrid now has more than 100,000 customers signed up and companies embracing this technology include Spotify, Pinterest, Airbnb and Foursquare.

SendGrid also announced that it is expanding into Europe with new offices in the UK and Germany. These new locations will add to SendGrid's current US operations in Boulder, Denver, San Francisco, New York, and Anaheim.
