MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/24/12 -- FireEye, Inc. and Mandiant Corporation today announced a partnership that improves joint customers' capabilities to respond to advanced cyber threats faster and more efficiently.

As part of the alliance FireEye™ and Mandiant® intend to integrate their products in 2012 for comprehensive breach detection and remediation so that threats can be efficiently prioritized based on the risk they pose. This will help provide comprehensive, network-to-endpoint breach detection.

Some specific use cases for how the products may be used together include:

• Efficient network-to-endpoint attack mitigation. Combining FireEye's signature-less network detection capabilities with Mandiant's visibility on the host enables customers to detect advanced malware, accelerate incident response, and prioritize the threat they pose.
• Accelerated response time. This partnership enables customers to shorten response time to advanced threats and improve their ability to address the full extent of attacks the two solutions detect.
• Visibility into evidence of compromise. End users will be able to correlate FireEye malware analysis with Mandiant endpoint inspection to bring together all evidence of compromise including stolen user credentials and staging sites being used to steal data.

In addition to supporting integrated use cases the companies will train their sales and engineering teams, and channel partners on how to use their respective products.
