Acer America today announced that its Acer H6510BD projector for displaying 3D movies and games is now available for customers in the United States. The Full HD 1080p projector adds depth and crisp detail to digital entertainment with instant 2D-to-3D conversion without requiring extra software for a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $799.

The Acer H6510BD projector's 3000 lumens brightness and ExtremeEco mode enable power savings up to 70 percent and extend lamp life up to 7000 hours for a low total cost of ownership. It's also compact enough for travel measuring 10.4 - x 8.7- x 1.3-inches and weighing just 4.8 lbs.

Immersive 3D

This projector supports popular 3D technologies including Blu-ray™ 3D, DLP® 3D and NVIDIA® 3DTV Play™. Acer 2D-to-3D technology automatically converts into 3D any 2D picture or video signal that passes through the HDMI® port. Real-time 2D-to-3D conversion technology enables users to enjoy videos, pictures and games in virtual 3D with no extra software required. Users just need to go to the on-screen menu to turn the function on and connect a 3D source to the projector.

Movie Quality Projection

The new HD6510BD projector emits natural colors with Acer ColorBoost II technology via its optimized 6-segment color-wheel design, powerful image processing and advanced lamp illumination. In addition, Acer ColorSafe II technology preserves color integrity and Acer SpectraBoost offers a wider color gamut via a patented color-wheel coating, which boosts color saturation an extra 30 percent.

Practical Functionality

Acer SmartFormat technology provides complete multi-format support for instant projection, widescreen format support and instant sync with wide-format displays without having to make resolution adjustments from the PC. Plus, Instant Resume allows the next user to power up the projector right after it has been turned off. In addition, Instant Pack enables the projector to be packed immediately after it's been turned off without having to let it cool first.

The projector is equipped with several connectors for multiple-PC source input, offering instant switching and connection options. Input interfaces include Analog RGB/component video (D-Sub), Composite video (RCA), S-Video (mini DIN), component (three RCA), HDMI® (video, audio, HDCP) x 2 and PC audio (stereo mini jack).

Eco-Friendly Option

ExtremeEco mode enables up to 70 percent power savings when there is no input signal, extending the life span of the lamp up to 7000 hours and reducing costs.
