SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/13 -- Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: UBNT), a next-generation communications technology company, today announced that it has hired David Hsieh to become its chief marketing officer. Hsieh will be responsible for leading Ubiquiti's corporate marketing strategy and managing corporate communications.

Hsieh brings 25 years of tech industry marketing experience to Ubiquiti, most recently serving as vice president of marketing for video and emerging technologies at Cisco. In that role he was responsible for marketing Cisco's video portfolio to enterprises, service providers and growing emerging technology businesses across multiple market segments, including Cisco TelePresence. Prior to Cisco, he was the senior marketing officer for three publicly traded companies -- Evolve Software, LBMS, Inc. and WebEx -- and a senior executive at Sybase, FaceTime Communications and Marrakech.
