SAN RAMON, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/26/13 -- WANdisco (LSE: WAND), a provider of high-availability software for global enterprises to meet the challenges of Big Data and distributed software development, today announced the launch of its Non-Stop Alliance Partner Program to provide Industry, Technology and Strategic Partners with the competitive advantage required to compete and win in the multi-billion dollar Big Data market. WANdisco's Non-Stop technology and reference architectures can provide the first and only open source Apache Hadoop solution that delivers 100 percent uptime. Founding Partners participating in the Non-Stop Alliance Partner Program include Hyve Solutions and SUSE.
"The number one Hadoop adoption challenge for both enterprises and vendors is Hadoop's inability to support non-stop availability," said David Richards, CEO of WANdisco. "Scalable, enterprise-ready Big Data deployments require 100 percent uptime, and current Hadoop solutions lack the ability to offer continuous availability. The Alliance Partner Program has been launched to work with leading developers, technology vendors, and integrators to develop, certify and test Non-Stop Hadoop reference architectures to promote deployment and accelerate business."
WANdisco's patented Non-Stop replication technology is the foundation for Alliance Partners to lead the Big Data market, which is expected to exceed $47 billion by 2017 according to Wikibon (Feb. 20, 2013). The Non-Stop Alliance is focused on accelerating Partner time-to-revenue through the development and certification of Non-Stop Hadoop reference architectures.
WANdisco offers three Partner options -- Industry, Technology and Strategic -- to help Partners accelerate their Hadoop business and increase Big Data market share and sales, providing technology, resources, expertise and support in the building and support of global Apache Hadoop deployments.
"Hyve Solutions is excited to be a founding member of WANdisco's Non-Stop Alliance Partner Program," said Steve Ichinaga, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hyve Solutions, a division of SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) and a provider of purpose-built datacenter servers and storage. "The integration of WANdisco and SUSE's technology with Hyve Solutions storage and server platforms gives enterprise companies an ideal way to deploy Big Data environments with non-stop uptime quickly and effectively into their datacenters."
"Linux is the undisputed operating system of choice for high performance computing. For two decades, SUSE has provided reliable, interoperable Linux and cloud infrastructure solutions to help top global organizations achieve maximum performance and scalability," said Michael Miller, vice president of global alliances and marketing, SUSE. "We're delighted to be a Non-Stop Strategic Technology Founding Partner to deliver highly available Hadoop solutions to organizations looking to solve business challenges with emerging data technologies."
