BANFF, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/13 -- Canadian cloud leaders and policy makers are challenging themselves at an upcoming national conference by asking the question, "Why does cloud matter?" More than 35 speakers, including Robert Herjavec of Dragon's Den fame and CEO of Herjavec Group, will be presenting at the Cloud Matters conference in hopes of answering that exact question.

In addition to Herjavec's opening address, he will be leading the judge's panel for another conference highlight, The Canadian Cloud Showdown. The Showdown will showcase Canada's premiere cloud startups to a panel of the nation's top industry analysts, investors, entrepreneurs and press. The winner of the showcase will receive three months of free office space and mentorship in Silicon Valley, as well as prominent exposure in the Canadian Cloud Council's highly regarded "Cloud Toolkit".

Conference attendees are looking forward to lively discussions and debates that will make an impact on the future of the Canadian Cloud industry. One such discussion is expected to come from Brian Fry, Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of the Canadian cloud and hosting provider RackForce Networks, Inc.
