Acer America today announced that its Acer C7 Chromebook line is available for pre-order now in Canada. This next-generation mobile computer runs Google's Chrome operating system and is priced starting at a low $249.99.

The Acer C710-2490 Chromebook is priced at $249.99 CAD and is available for pre-order now and will be available in retail stores and on Google Play store in April. This model has a 4-cell battery for 4-hour battery life. (1)

The new Acer C710-2478 Chromebook will be available to commercial customers from authorized Acer resellers for $279 CAD. The Acer C710-2478 comes with a 6-cell battery and provides up to 6-hours of battery life. (1)

Both new Acer C7 models provide the performance specifications to speed through the web, access files, enjoy video and more; they are powered by an Intel Celeron 847 processor (2MB L3 cache, 1.10GHz, DDR3 1333 MHz) and 2GB of DDR3 memory.
