MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/27/13 -- Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today reported that 25 distinct state government customers have purchased the Clearwell eDiscovery Platform, now from Symantec, including the state of Alaska, the state of Ohio and the state of Delaware.

Many of these customers have found divergent purposes and use cases for the versatile solution. In the state of Alaska, the attorney general and the Department of Law are using the Clearwell eDiscovery Platform for general litigation support.

Other customers are leveraging the Clearwell eDiscovery Platform's advanced analytics in an investigative capacity to combat Medicare fraud, while additional customer implementations are being driven by environmental, public safety, and securities use cases.

In addition, several customers, including the state of Ohio and the state of Delaware, will be coupling the Clearwell eDiscovery Platform with Symantec's Enterprise Vault archiving product. Other customers have been able to integrate the Clearwell eDiscovery Platform with still more solutions in Symantec's broad portfolio.
