BEVERLY, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/16/13 -- Altova® (http://www.altova.com), creator of XMLSpy®, the industry leading XML editor, today announced at the XBRL26 Conference in Dublin, Ireland, a ground-breaking new XML and XBRL validation and processing server called RaptorXML. RaptorXML is highly cross-platform compatible and takes advantage of today's ubiquitous multi-core and multi-CPU computers and servers to deliver lighting fast processing of XML and XBRL data.
Altova drew upon its fifteen-year tenure as a leader in the XML tools field to architect RaptorXML from scratch, optimizing it for the latest standards and parallel computing environments. In today's organizations, Big Data trends and XBRL mandates are producing huge, ever increasing amounts of XML and XBRL data with strict standards conformance requirements. Now, there is finally a modern, hyper-fast engine to validate, process, transform and query all of it: RaptorXML.

RaptorXML will initially be available for Windows (32-bit and 64-bit versions), Linux (64-bit), and MacOS (64-bit) and will be available to download and purchase in May of 2013. It will be offered under an annual licensing model based on the number of available CPU-cores in the server.
