McMahon brings more than 25 years of senior management experience to the board, with industry-leading organizations including BMC Software, BladeLogic, GeoTel, Ariba, and Parametric Technology Corporation. McMahon will provide extensive domain and industry knowledge to maximize the potential of Sumo Logic as it grows to meet strong demand for the company's cloud-based log management and data analytics capabilities.

Prior to BMC, McMahon served as the chief operating officer and senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Services with BladeLogic. At BladeLogic, McMahon played a critical role in transforming the company from startup to public company, with the company's initial public offering in 2007, and ultimately the firm's $880 million acquisition by BMC Software.
