PLEASANTON, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/01/12 -- Percona, Inc., the company that makes MySQL faster and more reliable, today confirmed that May 14, 2012 is the Call for Speakers deadline for Percona Live New York 2012 taking place Oct. 1-2, 2012 at Sentry Centers, 730 Third Avenue in New York City.

"The recent Percona Live MySQL Conference and Expo in Santa Clara was a huge success, and we expect the same enthusiastic attendance at the New York conference," said Peter Zaitsev, Co-Founder and CEO, at Percona. The conference committee will review proposals that fit into the likely conference tracks of Developing Applications, Database Administration, Trends in Architecture and Design, Tools, Utilizing Hardware, New Features, Best Practices for Businesses, Replication, and High Availability Strategies. Each session is 50 minutes in length including a Q&A period.

The conference will also include tutorial sessions. Tutorials should present immediate and practical applications of in-depth MySQL knowledge targeted at a level between a training class and a conference breakout session. Tutorials are three hours in length including a Q&A period.
