FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/17/13 -- AMAX, a leading innovator of High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, announced the update of its ClusterMax & ServMax Many Core HPC Solutions, high-performance solutions supporting the latest Intel® Xeon Phi 7120P and 3120P Coprocessors, in addition to the already released 5110P model. Seen as a disruptive innovation, Intel's Xeon Phi Coprocessors are an integral component to what makes AMAX's line of HPC solutions the essential ingredient for performance-tuned efficiency-optimized clusters. While Intel® Xeon® processors remain the preferred choice for a broad range of applications, Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessors are designed to provide efficient performance for highly parallel applications.
The Intel Xeon Phi 7120P was designed with the highest level of features and is Intel's premium offering for the most demanding users. The Intel Xeon Phi 3120P is ideal for compute bound workloads and is designed for a wide range of server and workstation usages. With the introduction of both entry-level and high-end model Xeon Phi coprocessors, in conjunction with the mainstream 5110P model, AMAX can now offer a complete range of cluster and server solutions to meet a users specific price, performance, and scalability metrics. With efficient vectorization, threading, and parallel execution, the Intel Xeon Phi was optimized to deliver the highest levels of parallel performance to power breakthrough innovations and has shown the benefits of standards based programming models in financial services, weather, seismic, physics, finite element analysis, ray tracing applications and more.
"The Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessors offer sophisticated parallel performance and unique capabilities positioning it as an incomparable product in today's HPC market," said James Huang, Product Development Manager at AMAX. "The new Xeon Phi models are utilized within AMAX's HPC solutions from individual servers to high-performance full-rack clusters to target customers with compute and memory bound workloads that require higher aggregate performance for highly parallel applications."
AMAX ClusterMax cluster and ServMax server solutions supporting the Intel Xeon Phi x100 Coprocessor family are available immediately. Additionally, qualified prospects may access and test AMAX's internal Xeon Phi 7120P-powered test systems over a high-speed dedicated connection for free.
