SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/02/12 -- Tilera® Corporation, the leader in 64-bit manycore processors, today announced that it will be exhibiting at Interop Las Vegas on May 6-10, 2012. The company will be joined in its suite by several of its partners and customers to showcase Tilera's powerful and power efficient TILE-Gx products in a wide range of networking, security and multimedia demonstrations. Tilera will be located in Suite Palm F at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

"The networking market is undergoing a disruption driven by increased data bandwidth requirements at the network and carrier edge," said Devesh Garg, founder, president, CEO of Tilera. "This has resulted in an integration of functions - such as DPI, IPS/IDS, network monitoring and video processing -- in traditional network equipment. While other solutions on the market cater to one or two of these applications, Tilera's unique architecture enables our customers to achieve high performance for all of these applications, and do so while maintaining a power efficient footprint."

Earlier this year, Tilera announced the general availability of the TILE-Gx36 and TILE-Gx16 processor. With a core count of 36 and 16, respectively, they deliver more performance-per-watt than any other processor on the market and are able to power a diverse array of solutions for a broad range of industries.

Tilera will be showcasing applications on the new 144-core 1U TILExtreme-Gx platform, the 1U TILEmpower-Gx platform and the small form factor TILEncore-Gx PCIe card. Additional demonstrations will include:

  • High performance Deep Package Inspection (DPI) with Qosmos ixEngine
  • True line-rate network forensics with FlowTraq
  • High efficiency IP Security engine with AuthenTec QuickSec™
  • Industry's highest performance Suricata Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) solution
  • High density video transcoding solutions
  • High speed inline packet capture

"For our QuickSec security stack, our customers are asking for the highest performance and most power efficient IPsec solution," said Dr. Simon Blake-Wilson, vice president, Embedded Security Solutions, AuthenTec. "The TILE-Gx manycore processors have shown outstanding throughput and scalability. We're excited to share the impressive results with the attendees of Interop and our customers."

"The performance of our Flowtraq software running on Tilera's processors is, frankly, amazing," said Vincent Berk, CEO, ProQSys. "Our partnership with Tilera has enabled us to provide our customers with forensically accurate recall of all their traffic data while truly maintaining a high data rate."

"We are impressed by Tilera's exceptional combination of performance, small form factor and power envelope," said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO, Qosmos. "Interop is an important event and we're looking forward to showcasing what Qosmos ixEngine and Tilera can achieve together."
