Lerner has more than 30 years of experience working in Silicon Valley for both public as well as private, venture-backed technology companies. He was most recently VP of finance at Aerohive Networks and previously served in executive financial roles at Fortinet, Siebel Systems, Excite@Home (previously @Home Network), Sybase, Cypress Semiconductor and numerous private technology companies. Lerner was a member of the IPO teams for both Fortinet and @Home Network.

In addition, Lerner is Chairman of the Board of KeyPoint Credit Union, an $800M asset Silicon Valley-based financial institution. He also serves on a pro-bono basis as CFO of Blue Planet Network, a non-profit organization whose mission is to exponentially increase the impact of safe drinking water programs for people around the world. In addition, he is on the board of the Peninsula Chapter of Amigos de las Americas and participates actively in the Silicon Valley chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), and serves on the membership committee.

Lerner holds a B.B.A. from Marshall University and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.
