ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/13 -- iGen Networks Corporation (OTCQB: IGEN), is pleased to provide an update on recent accomplishments and progress on key initiatives:
1. The successful completion of a fully integrated, private, and secure
cloud server platform. The iGen platform is initially being used to
provide online marketing and business tools to small business customers
across the US and Canada in more than 35 markets through the recently
acquired Gogiro brand. The iGen cloud platform will be used to provide
applications and services supporting our core target markets and
Intranet deployments. The integration of the iGen platform with
"hardware enablers", like specialized wireless infrastructure (
Instanet) and M2M devices, enables the company to serve a broad
range of commercial markets that include small to medium size businesses
along with government agencies.
2. The Launch of Gogiro Business Central. This platform provides the small
business owner everything they need in one location to manage their
online presence with pay-as-you-go services supported by a Gogiro
representative in their local market. Gogiro's Business Central helps
the small business owner get in front of potential customers, convert
their website visits to leads, invoice and manage payments, and
communicate efficiently through an integrated simple to use contact
management system. The Gogiro Internet Group continues to build residual
revenue services with over 350 small business customers to-date, and
with the launch of Business Central, anticipates significant growth in
its customer base.
3. Instanet continues to demonstrate the potential of rapid market adoption
for use in crisis situations where telecommunications is non-existent or
unreliable. The portable and self-contained wireless communications
network is presently being evaluated by public safety of both local and
federal government agencies. The first trial units designed to operate
in Band 14 LTE were completed and are presently being tested with a
select group of handset manufacturers.
"I'm very pleased with our steadfast progress over the past six months. We remain focused on delivering growth in residual services that offer longer term shareholder value," said Neil Chan, chief executive officer of iGen Networks Corporation. "The rollout of the iGen cloud platform, and the latest upgrade to Gogiro's Business Central by our portfolio company Gogiro Internet group, will allow our customers a private and secure cloud-based platform in an easy-to-use environment. We are committed to supporting business owners with not just the necessary tools, but the most innovative ones that will help their businesses thrive online. This latest transition of on-boarding customers to Business Central demonstrates our strong track record of building successful business models and our ability to generate revenues from scalable technologies."
