The appointment comes on the heels of a record-breaking quarter during which Tintri significantly expanded its global customer base and closed the largest deal in company history. Ellery, who has more than 25 years of experience of building and managing highly effective sales organizations along with in-depth domain and channel expertise, will direct the worldwide sales teams to continue the company's rapid growth.

Prior to Tintri, Ellery held a series of leadership positions at Brocade, a leading networking company. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Americas, where he was responsible for more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Before that, he was Vice President of Global Field Operations, where his responsibilities included global field integration, sales enablement, and managing the day-to-day sales cadence, .Tom has also held sales roles at EMC, where he managed an enterprise sales organization, Executive Vice President at SensAble Technologies, for a start up a 3D modeling startup and senior leadership role at Silicon Graphics .
