SAN RAMON, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/13 -- WANdisco (LSE: WAND), a provider of high-availability software for global enterprises to meet the challenges of Big Data and distributed software development and a major sponsor of the Apache Software Foundation, today announced the results of Forrester's Total Economic Impact (TEI) Report for its SVN MultiSite solution. The subject of the study, a WANdisco customer, was a Fortune 500 company with annual revenues of over $5 billion, with SVN MultiSite in production in the US, UK, and India. Forrester concluded that SVN MultiSite generated a return on investment (ROI) of 357% with a payback period of less than two months.
Forrester's Total Economic Impact (TEI) methodology measures costs and cost reduction, and weighs the enabling value of a technology in increasing the effectiveness of overall business processes. Significant benefits and cost savings were found in a broad range of areas that Forrester attributed to SVN MultiSite's ability to provide remote developers with local real-time access to Subversion repositories and the elimination of downtime.
Among the key benefits highlighted in the Forrester TEI report were the following:
"Once again, the Forrester TEI report proves WANdisco provides real, tangible value for our customers," said David Richards, CEO of WANdisco. "WANdisco provides 100% uptime and enables globally distributed development teams to work as if they were in one location, saving customers a huge amount of money and achieving payback within the first few months of deployment."

About Subversion MultiSite and SVN MultiSite Plus
SVN MultiSite enables LAN-speed collaboration between distributed teams at large, global organizations using Apache Subversion, allowing them to work as if they were all at one location. With it, all repositories are fully readable, writeable and continuously in sync. By leveraging WANdisco's patented replication technology, not only are downtime and data loss eliminated, but merge conflicts and other issues are identified and resolved when they occur, instead of days later. These capabilities result in shorter development cycles, higher quality and lower cost.
SVN MultiSite Plus builds on these unique capabilities by incorporating the latest enhancements to WANdisco's patented replication technology and implementing them at Subversion's file system layer for major availability, performance and scalability improvements. SVN MultiSite Plus eliminates up to 90 percent of the communication overhead between Subversion clients and the server at each location, allows servers and repositories to be added and removed on the fly without downtime, and supports all Subversion protocols.
