BOULDER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/24/13 -- SendGrid, the leader in email deliverability, today announced it has joined the Google Cloud Platform Partner Program as a Technology Partner. SendGrid is the first non-native email solution available to Google App Engine customers as part of the partner program, giving developers a trusted third-party option for adding transactional email management and delivery to their applications.
The collaboration provides a scalable transactional email platform and set of services that allow developers to focus on building exceptional applications rather than committing time and resources to ensuring app-triggered emails reach their users.
SendGrid relieves development teams of the cost and complexity of managing their applications' underlying transactional email management infrastructures, freeing them to build great applications without worrying about email delivery rates, spam folders, ISP blacklists or scaling to meet high user volume. Launched in 2009, SendGrid has quickly emerged as the clear leader in a maturing transactional email category, where it moves 1% of global email, or 7 billion emails per month, for its 130,000 customers, including Pinterest, Spotify, Airbnb and foursquare.
The Google Cloud Platform Partner Program enables us to integrate our transactional and marketing email with the power of the Google Cloud Platform," said Jim Franklin, CEO, SendGrid. "The Google Cloud Platform offers a broad set of application development, cloud storage, large scale computing, and big data capabilities bringing SendGrid to more than 300,000 developers building on the Google Cloud Platform."
Google's Cloud Platform products enable customers to implement:
The Google Cloud Platform Partner Program includes Technology Partners such as ISVs and SaaS vendors, platform companies, management and development tools vendors, analytics providers, business intelligence and ETL vendors, and storage specialists. These partners offer complementary technologies that have already been integrated to provide customers with powerful new solutions on top of Google's Cloud Platform.
Google App Engine customers who sign up for SendGrid qualify for 25,000 free emails per month. Developers can additionally select from other SendGrid pricing plans. The 25,000 free monthly offer and all paid plans include basic deliverability features, SMTP server integration and APIs, best-of-class customer support and advanced analytics (open, click, bounce and delivery tracking). Developers who choose the Silver Plan or above can take advantage of advanced deliverability features, including their own dedicated IP address, whitelist services, ISP deliverability outreach, feedback loops and more, as well as Sub-User, Parse and Event APIs.
