To address the wide variety of international identification format schemes, Liaison extended the capabilities of its patented tokenization technology -- Format Preserving Tokenization™. The new extensibility option allows for custom protection strategies to be rapidly created and quickly plugged into Liaison Token Manager to support new token formats for a variety of data including personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI) and payment card industry (PCI) data. The ability to generate and add new tokens to the library for future use allows customers to reduce redundancy, and, as a result, enhance efficiency.
