ROCKVILLE, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 05/08/12 -- Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSi), a leading developer of transactional content capture and workflow solutions, geared up this weekend to ride in the American Diabetes Tour de Cure Maryland, raising more than $20K for the American Diabetes Association. Team NSi, which included 15 colleagues and several business partners including those from Xerox and OpenText, rode a combined 750 miles along the 63 mile bike route in Cooksville, Maryland.

According to the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC), an estimated 25.8 million children and adults in the United States, or 8.3 percent of the U.S. population, have diabetes. Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure, heart disease and stroke and is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.

The Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. In 2011, more than 55,000 cyclists in 80 events raised more than $18 million to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association. Participants in the one day event in Maryland this past Saturday raised nearly $316K for the American Diabetes Association.
