SINGAPORE -- (Marketwired) -- 10/08/13 -- Guavus Inc., a leading provider of big data analytics solutions, has announced that Bob Mansfield, a distinguished Australian business leader, has joined Guavus' Industry Advisory Board. Mansfield joins several other industry experts whose experience and insight serve to keep Guavus at the forefront of the rapidly evolving big data landscape for global operators.

Mansfield has a long history of leadership in Australia, including as Chief Executive of Optus Communications, and non-executive Chairman of Telstra Corporation. As Founding CEO of Optus, Mansfield grew Australia's second largest telecommunications carrier to an organisation with over 4,000 staff, annualised revenue of $1.8 billion and a break even profit position. In 2000, he was honoured with an Order of Australia for his contribution to Australian business and economic development, and to the telecommunications industry.

Mansfield has also held several senior advisory positions within the Federal Government of Australia including the Operating Charter of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and consultant to the Prime Minister's office, as Major Projects Facilitator and Strategic Investment Co-ordinator.

Mansfield holds a bachelor's degree in commerce (accounting) from the University of New South Wales, Kensington, is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants and is a Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA).
