MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/23/13 -- Porsche Cars Canada announced today the official opening of an all- new, multi-million-dollar dealership in Oakville by the Policaro Automotive Family. Canada's fifteenth Porsche Centre is conveniently located on the south side of the QEW, in South-Western Ontario.

Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG member of the Board, Sales and Marketing, was present for the formal grand opening ceremony and offered a few words of congratulations to Dealer Principal Tony Policaro and General Manager Francesco Policaro. Famous Porsche enthusiast and collector Magnus Walker was also among the noteworthy individuals present.

Established in 1979 and led by three brothers - Basil, Tony and Paul - and supported by a second generation, the Policaro Automotive Family is a dealership group that operates seven automotive franchises in six independently-operated dealerships. It also operates an OEM-approved collision repair centre.

Porsche Cars Canada was formed as an independent subsidiary in April 2008. The company employs a team of 24 in sales, aftersales, finance, marketing, and public relations. Last calendar year, Porsche sold a record 3,003 units in Canada.
