Commonly understood is the fact of a classical bit, manifested as electrical potential between atoms and electrons instead of electrical currents, which provided us with non-volatile memory modules. Lately, our attention focused on the change of information within microscopic circuits themselves, which provides us with qubits, so called quantum bits. Since qubits represent pure information, we can implement them in our way to calculate from the beginning, not only in native quantum computers, but also with a novel technology, the hybrid quantum computer. This talk will get you acquainted with this new kind of computer architecture and demonstrate first implementations.
