Working with frontline staff to both suggest and trial new technologies within a structured feedback process pays dividends for residents care as well as corporate innovation and learning. • Explain how we, as a cross functional team, introduced a number of new technologies for our residents, some were experimental, others became part of the service. Some residents took an active part in these experiments. • With budget pressures increasing, headcount is under pressure, maximising productivity is vital and growing staff confidence and digital dexterity is key to achieving that. Frontline staff are also under ever-increasing pressures, with an ever-growing range of technologies to learn and use. Convincing residents of the need for new technology can be very challenging for a wide range of reasons, so finding a range of ways of engaging them in the change can be very powerful. • To effectively introduce new operational technologies, we need to engage with and harness the enthusiasm of frontline staff, partners and residents, working with the IT team to implement change effectively.
