This session will provide a technical foundation to facilitate and automate the L4-L7 service insertion in Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure environments using F5 BIG-IP and BIG-IQ. With the growing complexity of today’s modern data centers networks, there is a need to define how network services are to be coordinated to provide a coherent service offering to the end user. Application agility and dynamic workloads has led to increasing need for dynamic provisioning and orchestration of a service graph composed of a variety of different abstract service functions running on service appliances scattered throughout the network. The Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) together with F5 synthesis architecture is adopting an innovative approach in addressing these challenges, through tighter integration of network fabric automation with F5 BIG-IP L4-L7 services, providing a single point of orchestration and management of BIG-IP using F5 device package on Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)

In this session you will hear about an overview of Cisco ACI technology, F5 BIG-IP and Cisco APIC integration solution, design and deployment options, troubleshooting and monitoring along with customer use case scenarios. This session assumes the attendees have basic understanding of Cisco ACI, Virtualization and L4-L7 technologies in Data Center networking environments.
