Resilience is a strategic objective, aiming to make your organisation more adaptive and competitive. Organisational resilience is the ability of an organisation to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to major and minor changes [BS 65000:2014]. In this webinar we plan to take you through this relatively new and dynamic concept, its corresponding standards and also how you can integrate and coordinate the various operational disciplines you have. As resilience involves dealing with disruption and uncertainty, the process of embedding it across your organisation and cutting across silos and organisational structures is fundamental to you achieving this state of continuous (and healthy) volatility. To do so, in the time allocated for this talk, we look at the foundations for resilience: - The need for fundamental organisational attributes (why this would not be a good idea if you were an newly formed start-up) - Governance and accountability (the systems, rules, structures and processes) - Leadership and culture (targeting staff empowerment and rules for when to take action) - Common vision and purpose (common vision of the future, and its consequent requirements) We will conclude with how you can go about developing this across your organisation and the various operational disciplines you have.
