There’s been a veritable evolution in how agencies and organizations look at their networks since last March, with remote work serving as the catalyst. During that early period, where time was of the essence when it came to meeting sudden new demands and keeping workflow, operations and dollars turned on, agencies had to rapidly expand their network capabilities, capacity and design without much time to consider long-term implications. With that warp-speed evolution came risk and a good amount of uncertainty. Some agencies were able to expand and modernize their networks to adequately accommodate new demands. Some still struggle with filling in technology gaps. And some are at a point where they’re stepping back and re-assessing whether their quickly adopted strategy is headed in the right direction, rather than toward a costly dead end. All the while they continue to address heightened security, deployment, capacity and architectural challenges.
