About the presenters: Emma McGrattan, SVP of Engineering, at Actian As SVP of Engineering at Actian, Emma leads research and development for the Actian Vector, Actian Vector in Hadoop, Actian X and Ingres teams. A recognized authority in DBMS and Big Data technologies, Emma is a sought-after speaker at industry conferences. Emma has recently celebrated over 25 years in Ingres and Actian Engineering. Educated in Ireland, Emma holds a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering degree from Dublin City University. Pradeep Bhanot, Director of Product Marketing, at Actian Pradeep’s focus at Actian is on analytic database solutions. Pradeep has worked with databases since 1984, starting with IBM VSAM, SQL/DS and DB2. Over 13 years at Oracle Pradeep held several technical and business roles. Since 2002 Pradeep has been working with Microsoft SQL Server and Actian’s Vector columnar, in-memory analytic database.
