Edge Computing adoption is today limited by the lack of efficient tools that can manage its complexity: from the lifecycle management of an extremely distributed infrastructure to the operation of an ecosystem of specific components, ranging from networking elements to edge applications. Operation of edge computing is challenging as it comprises heterogeneous architectures and networking models, while from the point of view of management, unified and modular solutions are required. In this session, we will demonstrate how the NearbyComputing One solution automates the provisioning and deployment of edge computing environments for two specific scenarios: 1) uCPEs with limited compute power using a custom virtualization user plane that combines virtual machines and docker containers; and 2) private LTE environments that require both virtualized RAN and EPC components. Through the unique model-driven approach and seamless interoperability of our solution, companies across diverse sectors (CSPs, Oil & Gas, Industry 4.0, Smart Cities) see their operational costs reduced by simplifying the management of their infrastructure, automating complex processes and introducing new high-value services that could not be deployed before.
