At an IOT Solutions World Congress panel discussion entitled “Embracing Digital Twin” this past October, we shared how to get started with digital twin, its adoption path benefits and challenges, and what to expect in the next five years. By having a virtual model of physical assets, digital twin can be used to predict behaviors of the assets, prescribe actions, and design possible versions. Twins incorporate views across asset lifecycle, their relationships, and serves as a foundation for collaboration across engineering design, manufacturing, operation, maintenance, supply chain and logistics. Join us for a virtual discussion as our expert panelists discuss how recent events makes it even more critical and present new opportunities to get started and gain benefits with digital twin. Moderated by: Teresa Tung, Managing Director, Accenture Labs Teresa Tung is a Managing Director at Accenture Labs responsible for Systems & Platforms R&D. Accenture’s most active inventor (170+ patents filed or granted), Teresa’s expertise covers Big Data, IoT, and robotics. Teresa holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Panelist: K. Eric Harper, Senior Principal Scientist, ABB Future Labs Leading global research focused on software architecture and emerging disruptive technologies, K. Eric Harper is a Senior Principal Scientist with ABB Future Labs responsible for internal projects that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence to create a more sustainable future. Panelist: Brad Klenz, Distinguished IoT Analytics Architect, SAS Brad Klenz is Distinguished IoT Analytics Architect at SAS. His responsibilities include the design of analytics required by SAS’ IoT solutions. His recent projects include the use real-time computer vision on edge devices. He is chair of the IIC Industrial Artificial Intelligence task group.
