In a data-centric world, how to manage the business data correctly and embrace the ubiquity of data in the enterprise, it’s the question all businesses like insurance, banking, pharma and industrial, have to answer. Data mesh is an architectural paradigm that has slowly gained traction since it was first proposed by Zhamak Delgahni in 2019. Forward-thinking organisations require a data mesh that addresses common nonfunctional requirements together with an operating model that recognises the strategic value of data. Airtel Payments Bank was launched in January 2017, by Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom provider, to support the cashless revolution promised by the Government of India. It is a differentiated bank that provides essential financial services to its customers, with a purpose to cater to the needs of the underserved and unbanked population in the country. The banking products are built as a solution to the problems posed by traditional banking, such as, long queues to endless documentation to inconvenient travelling.
