Roboat is a battery-powered and fully autonomous boat that has been navigating through Amsterdam's canals. Roboat aims to help cities, not only transporting people but also by pursuing some social activities such as cleaning channels and more. Having conducted a system prototype demonstration in a space environment, Roboat is working towards spinning out as a company. This brings new challenges for the venture, as the project not only tackles its technical development cycles but also new external challenges such as funding, regulation, social perception, team workload and more.
